Learn how to make displays with impressive semi-holographic effects!
The Pepper’s Ghost Illusion has been used in stage and theater since 1850 and is an inexpensive, impressive way to add striking visuals to many interactive projects. Come by the BTU Lab and learn about the history of this lighting technique and how to effectively use it easily in a modern context. In the last part of the workshop, attendees will make their own 3D holographic prisms to use on their phones.
This workshop will be led by Alec Leeseberg, a graduate student in the Creative Technologies and Design track of the ATLAS master’s program. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in creative technologies from Berry College in Rome, Georgia, where his research focused on interactive semi-holography, set/prop design, robotics, consumer product design and human-centered design.
