Event Details

Swiss-American guest composer Katharina Rosenberger premieres a fixed media work and Hsing-ay Hsu, director of Pendulum, performs a piano solo for this month’s Pendulum New Music Concert Series, now in its 16th season. The Feb. 22 electro-acoustic event also features world premieres by Sean Winters, Kevin Michael Olson, Eric Mulhern and Lukas Moldawsky.

Pendulum’s concert series presents some of University of Colorado Boulder’s best performers from across the College of Music, premiering original music of CU Boulder composers. Every monthly concert also features a faculty or guest performance.

During this month’s concert, audience members will vote for the winner of the 4th annual 64-Bit E-Music Competition Finals.  Applications are online until the Feb. 15 deadline, and the competition is open to current CU Boulder students who are non-composition majors. First prize is $200.

This month’s poster art is a photo by CoM composition alum and current CMCI faculty Hunter Ewen, who also created the 64-Bit competition for Pendulum New Music.
