Resonators

Monday, Feb 6 - Monday, Apr 17

Location
ATLAS BTU Lab (located in room 113)

Event Details

Join this meet-up every Monday, 5:30 – 7 p.m., to explore the subject of resonance through the perspectives of physics, psychology, art and music.

Resonance:

1. the prolongation of sound by reflection; reverberation.

2. the state of a system in which an abnormally large vibration is produced in response to an external stimulus, occurring when the frequency of the stimulus is the same, or nearly the same, as the natural vibration frequency of the system.

This group is dedicated to students who want to move away from traditional teaching methods and explore what it might mean to look at the world through an integrated lens. Over the course of the semester, we will explore the subject of reverberation through the perspectives of physics, psychology, art and music. We will host guest speakers, workshops, demos and challenges for students to engage with the concept of resonance in different ways. There will be opportunities to build art, science experiments or whatever else may tickle your fancy. Come Play!
