Do you like making things that hold other things? Are you tired of housing your custom projects inside discarded food packaging? Perhaps you’re looking for a constructive way to use that 75 watt death ray laser cutter you just found out about? This hands on workshop with Danny Rankin, adjunct TAM instructor and ATLAS grad student, is designed to help students learn how to design and create customized boxes and enclosures that can be made using a laser cutter. We’ll learn about different materials, joining methods and spend some time making your very own acrylic box to take home. Students of all experience levels are welcome, but some experience with CAD software (Rhino, Solidworks, etc) is a plus.
