Curious about Git and GitHub? Git is a widely used source code management system for software development and GitHub is a platform for hosting and collaborating on software projects. This workshop will cover the flow of using Git in the command line to keep track of the history of your code project, and how to collaborate with others using GitHub. The workshop will cover the essentials of Git and GitHub including: Repositories, Branches, Commits, Issues and Pull Requests. By the end of the workshop, you will have contributed to an open source project. Please bring your own laptops. Programming experience is suggested but not required.
