The world is a messy place.
The Unstable Design Lab explores how embracing the messiness and unpredictability of the world in the design of technology can foster new relationships between humans, technology, culture, and the environment.
We draw from art, anthropology, and engineering to design interventions that critically reflect upon present day relationships and suggest alternative future relationships.
The Unstable Design Lab is housed at the ATLAS Institute at the University of Colorado, Boulder. It is directed by Laura Devendorf and is currently accepting research students. For inquiries, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
