ATLAS Ph.D. Student Josephine Kilde Recognized by NSF

Jo Kilde_136wThis spring, Ph.D. student Josephine Kilde was awarded a Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) for her work in “STEM Education and Learning Research – Technology Education.”

Her research, in collaboration with the Los Alamos National Laboratory’s Math and Science Academy, is developing a Collaborative Learning and Support Environment for Teachers (CLASET), an online professional development tool for K-12 math and science teachers working in Native American Pueblo schools in New Mexico.

As part of these prestigious NSF fellowships, students receive three years of funding that includes tuition and stipend. Of the 2,053 GRFP fellowships awarded in 2014, Kilde’s was one of 31 awarded to graduate students at the University of Colorado. Congratulations, Josephine Kilde!
